Blinded.

Hi dear Interwebs. How are you? Fine, thanks!

Last week was a good week for me! I had one of my photographs accepted into the juried student art exhibit on campus... which was nice by itself. But then that same piece took 2nd place in the photography category! I was geeked!

Here is my piece... and part of a little poem I found (which I love!) that I think fits the picture perfectly. The photo is called "Blinded."

A Confession
by: Alexander Pushkin (1799 - 1837)

I love you - I love you, e'en as I
Rage at myself for this obsession,
And as I make my shamed confession,
Despairing at your feet I lie.
I know, I know - It ill becomes me,
I am too old, time to be wise...

In other news, I am starting my own photography gig. I am about to purchase a new camera--a Nikon D5000. I can't wait! I'm 3/4 of the way to my goal before I can buy my new camera and accessories. Hopefully, it won't take long to get that last bit saved. (Everyone go buy a Sydocian!)

Also. If you live in my area, and want to be my guinea pig for portraits, leave me a comment.

Have a wonderful Friday!
