I finished my critters for the Crammed Organisms Plush Show this morning. You'd be so proud, dear Internet. I got up at 8:30am and went straight to the studio to work (after breakfast, of course). Come Monday they will be on their merry, little way to St. Louis! Hopefully tomorrow will be nicer (read: not raining) so I can get outside and take some photos of them.I am almost done with my fans & feathers stitch swatch... I have about 3" to go to make it square. I am adoring this stitch, too. I've already been brainstorming a scarf using this stitch and some beautiful yarn from Pancake & Lulu.
The yarn I'm using is 100% cotton and gliding off the needle with amazing ease... which is really helpful for this stitch, in my opinion, because of all the k2tog's. I'm using a US 7 needle (for no other reason than it's sort of the "middle road" as far as what needles I own). This particular swatch is 38 stitches across... coming to right at 7".
If you'd like to make your own fans & feathers stitch project, here is the pattern breakdown.
1st row (right side): Knit.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: K1, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yf, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times; rep from * to last st, k1.
4th row: Knit.
Repeat these 4 rows.

I love how the rainbow is working out - good job!
This is awesome, it looks like it was a tough one...good work!
Hey cute stuff! You are so charming, with your coffee plant Julio and your rainbow cotton knitting! I'm very curious about Julio's progress and need to be kept up to date ok? I've always wanted to try growing TEA plants!
I'm going to try it..... I'm a little nervous!
